Innovation in Cross-Border Tourism Routes and Products
Focusing on the development and services of China-Pakistan cross- border tourism resources, this initiative centers on the “Friendship Highway” (Karakoram Highway) as the core overland route. It aims to build a distinctive tourism theme named “Retracing the Western Journey: China-Pakistan Friendship Tour.” The business scope includes customized tour itineraries, scenic area planning, and comprehensive tourism hospitality services.
Integrated Tourism Service Development
A team of 68 bilingual guides proficient in both Chinese and Pakistani languages has been established, 42 of whom specialize in Gandhara art history. Themed products such as “Retracing the Western Journey: Cultural Roots Exploration” and “Karakoram Highway Self-Drive Adventure” have been launched. These offerings link cross-border routes stretching from Chang’an (Xi’an) to Taxila and from Islamabad into China’s Xinjiang region. The journeys integrate natural landscapes like the Hexi Corridor, Karakoram Mountains, and Pamir Plateau, alongside historical and cultural sites such as the ancient ruins of Taxila and Gandhara sculpture art relics, achieving an in-depth fusion of nature and humanistic heritage.
